Sally, Headley, Thatcham, Berkshire. Leather Jacket Tear
My client contacted me in the hope that something could be done with her jacket. The right arm panel had worn into a split from carrying a bag at the elbow, across the forearm, with the arm bent at a right angle.
From the pictures supplied by email the split line looked "good", it seemed to have the appearance of a cut i would intentionally make when letting in a piece of leather, such as when repairing a large burn. Unfortunately, this was not the case. There was a small piece of leather missing right in the centre of the separation edge and the upper piece of the leather had stretched, not forming a good meet.
I was disappointed with the result and didn't make a charge.
