Mr Angus was looking for a local leather repair and restoration specialist in Reading, Berkshire and contacted me for advice regarding his leather suite. The leather suite needing attention following its return after being in a family members possession without any evidence of leather care. Mr Angus had purchased and applied some DIY leather treatments from the internet which hadn't delivered the promised results.

This is a lovely leather suite, retailing around £5,000 at the time of purchase. All 5 seat leather cushions were restored and re-coloured. The frames were prepared and blended in. The elbow chair lives in a different room, so the leather was completely restored and re-coloured to a darker shade than the rest of the leather suite - the result is a longer wear period for the leather rub-off effect of the darker top coat.

The arm of the leather armchair was cracking severely and Mr Angus asked if it was possible to recover and replace the leather panel. Recovering the arm was a possibility, however, i recommended an attempt at restoring the existing at a minimal cost of £30 whilst carrying out the leather suite restoration. Obviously replacing the panel generates more money for me but that is not what i am here for. Mr Angus agreed, stating if it did not work it was no great loss.  But, as you can see, the result of the arm leather repair and restoration was perfectly acceptable and saved a lot of money, the goal was to make it less obvious.

Mr Angus was over the moon with the end result of his leather suite renovation, stated that i can use him as a reference at any time and feels the standard is so high, his lounge is a showroom for my work!
